Taking to Twitter, Core Keeper developer Pugstorm has announced that the sandbox survival title has surpassed 3 million players. In November last year, while the game was still in early access, it was announced that it had sold 2 million copies.
Start digging through the walls around you, aiming for any shiny stuff. This will get you some dirt and ore, so craft your furnace at the workbench. That allows you to melt the copper ore to upgrade your pickaxe and craft a sword to take care of some of the slimes you might see nearby.
You can choose to place different monster floor tiles in a single space or place it in separate areas in your base.
Once you feel that you have solid equipment, you're going to want to start hunting for Glurch. Glurch is the first boss; it is a giant slime that is constantly jumping in place. You'll have to explore the area around the Core and listen for a slamming sound.

A short intro sequence vaguely (but enticingly) introduces your ancient underground surroundings, and it’s immediately clear that you’ll need to grow some crops to fend off your appetite, build a base to craft battle-ready gear, and search for three boss creatures. Killing Glurch spawns a chest with a few random items and a crystal. Take all of the items (and the chest!), then put the crystal in Glurch's statue near the Core. This will partially power the Core and open up a few new Core Keeper Gameplay crafting recipes at the Glurch statue.
, regions have big bosses, though it’s possible to play significant parts of the game while avoiding them. Some of these creatures are genuinely terrifying, but Core Keeper
is really dark when it wants to be, which is most of the time. But you’ll also come across clearings — like a glowing flower-lit river, or a massive chewed-out tunnel that conveniently forms a perfect circle around the game’s starting area — and the lighting-fueled atmosphere hits that much harder.
Mold Vein Necklace are great for a strong ranged loadout, with poison, recommended for fighting Azeos. They both drop from the enemies in these very difficult sub-biome dungeons, that give little other payoff.
